چکیده

The approach towards system engineering compliant to Model-Driven Architecture (MDA) implies an increased need for research on the automation of the model-based test generation. This applies especially to embedded real-time system development where safety critical requirements must be met by a system. The following paper presents a methodology to derive basic Simulink test models from Simulink system models so as to execute them in the same framework as the system model. The meta-models for Simulink and Test are explained and will enable automatic transformation in the future. The testing concepts of UML 2.0 Testing Profile (U2TP) have been partially adopted, however also enriched so as to deal with continuous functions, real-time constraints and to mirror Simulink-

Model-checking and Model-based Testing of Automotive Embedded Systems Starting from the System Architecture

Nowadays, modern vehicles are equipped with electrical and electronic systems that implement highly complex functions such as anti-lock braking or cruise control. The use of such embedded systems in the automotive domain requires a development process that takes into account their complex features. In this context, architectural models have been introduced in system development as convenient ab...

Enabling a direct path from end-user specifications to executable protocols in a biology laboratory environment

Biomedical analyses are becoming increasingly complex, with respect to both the type of the data to be produced and the procedures to be executed. This trend is expected to continue in the future. The development of information and protocol management systems that can sustain this challenge is therefore becoming an essential enabling factor for all actors in the field. The use of custom-built s...

Model-based Development of Embedded Systems: Executable Models vs. Code Generation

The use of models during the development of embedded systems is nowadays fairly limited. During the evolution of the system, the implementation and the design models often tend to get out of sync. The use of Model Driven Architecture in the development of embedded systems makes this problem more imminent, as it is much more demanding by introducing two separate modeling levels. Thus, there is a...

Compiling Business Process Models into Executable Code

Model-driven architecture (MDA), design and transformation techniques can be applied with success to the domain of business process modeling (BPM) with the goal of making the vision of business-driven development a reality. This chapter is centered on the idea of compiling business process models for executing them, and how this idea has been driving the design of the JOpera for Eclipse workflo...

Entwurf eingebetteter Systeme: ausführbare Modelle und Fehlersuche

With increasing complexity of technical systems, model-driven development gains increasing signi cance. In the past, graphical models were mainly used for documentation purposes. Today the semantics of modeling languages are speci ed in a way that allows to use them as programming languages to describe software. This thesis evaluates the question which requirements must be ful lled by a exible ...
